Our 3 Picks for Holiday Hair & Makeup

The Bella Sol Glam Team can create any look for your holiday needs with simple styling tricks.  For this holiday season, we present three of our favorite simple yet elegant looks.

Our hairstylist, Crystal Gonzalez, along with our makeup artist, Andres Barragan, wanted to demonstrate that holiday beauty prepping shouldn’t have to be difficult or dramatic.  All three looks are using Kevin Murphy hair products and Frankie Rose Cosmetics.

Holiday Office Party

Great for a festive office event, our first look is slightly refined, with just the right amount of sass to keep the look fresh.

For the hair, Crystal simply added a creative twist on a classic French braid and tucked the loose end underneath to give the illusion of a detailed up-do.

Andres employed the use of playful Frankie Rose colors against their matte foundation leaving the skin looking soft and camera-ready. Subtle contouring and rose-colored blush on the cheeks give the face a beautiful touch, while silver eyeshadow complements a pop of pink on the lips adding a slight edge and the finishing touch.

Holiday Cocktail Affair

Our second look is for any holiday affair you may find yourself attending. Crystal went with a simple waterfall braid after curling the hair.  Her purpose for choosing this hairstyle is for its versatility in being able to dress it up or wear it casually.

Andres used a lot of neutral Frankie Rose Cosmetics tones to enhance facial features, adding a gold lip to bring a bit of glam without taking away from the hair.  This subtlety in hair and makeup allows the guest to bring attention to their outfit or statement accessories they may choose to wear.

Holiday Hollywood Gala

Our third pick is a very glamorous, Hollywood-esque look that is easy to create, yet is sure to impress at any high-end holiday event.  Don’t be intimidated by the finger-wave hairstyle–it’s a lot easier to do than it looks.  As Crystal mentioned, “the main ingredient to making this hairstyle last throughout the night is setting your hair with our Kevin Murphy Session’s hairspray.”

Drawing inspiration from classic Hollywood red carpet looks, Andres kept a traditional red lip in line with the holiday season and complemented it with a lavish smokey eye.  Deep contouring and highlighting on the cheeks and other points allow for a complete classy and luxurious look.
