Donations by generous individuals of Pasadena!

July 27, 2015, Pasadena, CA – Bella Sol The Salon is working together with Families In Transition (FIT), a Pasadena Unified School District and transitional program. FIT brings awareness of helping homeless and transitional students and their families by providing basic needs assistance, family support, academic accountability, clothing and toiletry assistance, transportation assistance, and many other services as appropriate. This program is part of the Students Support Programs department and is funded by a federal grant under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act, as well as Title I federal funds and generous donors from the community.

The Bella Sol team is personally committed to this cause and has come together to be proactive by initiating the donation process. Now, the salon is asking for the Pasadena community to help by donating necessary school items (listed below) for the underprivileged elementary children of Families in Transition. The salon has listed itself as a drop off site for donations, as the donated items will be transferred to FIT headquarters by Wednesday, August 5, 2015. From there, FIT will distribute the school supplies to the families belonging to the program.

Bella Sol aims to serve these particular needs of their local community by alleviating some of the stress from the parents of these children. Acting as an additional resource of assistance for PUSD homeless and transitional students, Bella Sol hopes that other local businesses will aspire to do the same. These children deserve the opportunity for a positive start to a new school year filled with academic success.

For Bella Sol, being able to serve these individuals is an honor. It is also a chance to assist FIT in raising awareness in the kind of positive impact goodwill can have on these families who would otherwise have nowhere to go.

One of Bella Sol’s main objectives is to reach as many local organizations aimed at helping our youth and to support these organizations in their missions. The salon strives to set itself apart as not just another local business, but as a business that serves as a vessel for various charitable causes. What’s the reason behind this determination for chartable contribution? The answer is simple. Bella Sol The Salon’s owner bases her business philosophy on success from giving back first.
